About the artist
Artist. Artisan. Activist.
I'm Jamie Shields, the founder and creative force behind HOUSE OF SIX. More than anything, I'm a mother of six, an artist, and someone who believes that beauty has the power to heal, connect us, and tell stories that words often cannot.
HOUSE OF SIX was born during one of the most transformative seasons of my life. After years dedicated to raising my children, I found myself searching for a new beginning—one built on creativity, purpose, and authenticity. Art became that beginning. What started as a deeply personal way to process life eventually evolved into a business that reflects everything I value: connection, hospitality, intentional living, and creating meaningful experiences for others.
The name HOUSE OF SIX is a tribute to my greatest inspiration—my six children. They have shaped who I am, taught me resilience, and reminded me that home is not defined by walls but by the people we love and the memories we create together. That belief has become the foundation of everything I build.
Hospitality has always been one of my greatest passions. I believe there is something incredibly powerful about creating spaces where people feel welcomed, cared for, and seen. Whether I'm hosting an intimate candle-making class, designing a thoughtful gift, or preparing a meal for friends, I see every detail as an opportunity to create connection.
As HOUSE OF SIX grows, my vision extends beyond beautiful products. I want this company to become a source of encouragement and impact. My hope is to support women on their own journeys of healing, resilience, and self-discovery while building a business that gives back to the community and creates opportunities for meaningful change.
Everything I create is rooted in intention. I believe that beauty isn't about perfection—it's about authenticity. It's found in gathering around a table, sharing stories, creating with your hands, and finding light even after life's darkest seasons.
HOUSE OF SIX is more than my business. It's my story, my family, my creativity, and my belief that every ending has the potential to become a beautiful new beginning. My hope is that everything we create inspires others to slow down, connect deeply, and discover the beauty that already exists in their own lives.
